Once you're there, don't miss the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with baroque churches and cobbled lanes. Then head across to Užupis, the bohemian district with its own playfully written 'constitution'. And if the weather cooperates, take a trip to Trakai Castle, less than an hour away by car, with its frozen lake and winter scenery.
