Here's a deal worth a look: we've found direct flights from Seville to Rome for €35 return with Wizz Air Malta, compared with the €60 they usually cost. The flights are non-stop, departing on 28 December 2026 and returning on 9 January 2027, which gives you almost two weeks in the Italian capital.
The dates we've seen are departure on 28 December and return on 9 January. Low-cost airline prices change quickly, so if this suits you, it's best not to wait too long. The price may vary, and you'll see the final fare when you click through to the booking site.
Rome has plenty to offer. Start with the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, then wander into Trastevere, with its narrow lanes, trattorias and neighbourhood atmosphere. If you'd like something quieter, the Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona are must-sees, especially if you go early in the morning.
To round off the trip, set aside some time for the Vatican and St Peter's Basilica, or head up to one of the city's viewpoints at sunset. At Christmas the city has a special feel, with lights, markets and a lively atmosphere on the streets.
